Yes I been journaling with pens, pencils, watecolor but often feel my creative side being carried away with reality. My son will at some point have a liver transplant, so we are still dealing with his medical needs (see lsucd.blogspot.com). I started working a full time job with second shift hours, still working on my Master's Degree, rearing three other children, keeping the man happy and still find time for myself, which is easier said then done.
I noticed that when I practicing my drawing skills, I have a easier time drawing from "how-to-draw- books, but only on the last image, somehow I can't follow those step-by-step instructions. Yet, I have a bit more difficult time drawing from reality - I got some cool dogs and cats that could use some drawing up, or even coolio kids...well here is too practicing more and more

-when you dream sometimes you remember.when you wake you always forget
